if the ENTIRE FF portfolio goes beyond 30%, one should indeed consider selling

This strategy was proposed on the Foolish Four board. The daily data to backtest this exact strategy would be difficult to obtain. An exploratory study of a closely related stategy suggests it isn't worth the trouble to get the daily data. The thread on the analysis is here:
