One small step for your funds, one giant leap for your retirement!

As already mentioned, which ever platform you chose (vanguard or scottrade) is probably a function of your style of portfolio management - more of a comfort and fit kinda decision.

No sense in jumping off of Scotttrade unless you know the end game is to allocate with only Vanguard funds..The nice thing is that using either while you decide which is a better fit for your behavior, now costs you $90 a month less and would probably pay for the difference while you figure it all out.

While I don't have mine there, my personal choice would be Vanguard!
