I have written several posts regarding my experience with slow loading web sites since upgrading to AVG v9 most recently.

I am considering a change from AVG9 Free to Avast Free or perhaps just buying a Security Suite but in looking at the AVG Forum I noticed that this problem of slow loading web sites may not be mine alone. AVG9 is rather new and I did already find one other complaint on the AVG Free Forum outliningg the exact same problem as I am facing.

For anyone here who may be using ZA Free and is planning to upgrade to AVG9 Free it may be of interest to read the Forum complaint prior to doing so.

The entire text can be found at:

Here is a part of the text and the problem which seems to possibly be an AVG9/ZA conflict:

"Problem description:
With Surf Shield enabled, I'm seeing intermittent problems with sites loading. It appears as if the browser stalls while loading the site. A refresh of the page usually cures the problem. I DO realize ZoneAlarm is NOT recommended for use along with AVG and I WAS informed of this when I upgraded to AVG 9.0. So, I have disabled ZoneAlarm completely to make sure it wasn't interfering. After doing so, the stall issue was reduced but not eliminated. So, I uninstalled ZoneAlarm completely and the issue seems to have gone away. Previously, AVG 8.5 and ZoneAlarm running at the same time didn't exhibit this behavior."
