Ticket sales fall at British Airways

BA lowered its full-year revenue forecast after warning that a decline in premium passengers, caused by temporary security measures deterring some flyers, had continued into September. It said transfer passengers, who fly into Heathrow airport to connect with international flights, were still using airports outside Britain last month to avoid security restrictions on hand luggage. Short-haul bookings had also been affected by the measures, which were relaxed at the end of September

I am not surprised at this at all. Being one of those who avoided Heathrow since that carry on restrictions, it made much more sense to travel through an alternate European airport and avoid the hassels.
