screw them. what am saying everyday of ohmygoddropeverything and do this deadline. because really truly, today am the last day.

and they say do this, that, and the other. but make it look like you want to do it that way.

i played and played. and everytime they said ohmygoddropeverything and do this or the whole thing will be scrapped, i sweated, dropped, rolled, and did it.

but as the weeks went by, the ohmygoddropeverything deadline lots its, um, cache.

now i expect the daily ohmygoddropeverything. and i don't pretend that it is my idea to keep changing it. now i make the changes they want and put in the email with it "per [your insidious deptartment]'s request, i have made the following changes that you have insisted upon." so far i have not been canned (or caned) or reprimanded for this.

because you know they want to do the thing of, oh, we don't know why [deborah's inisidious department] made those screwy changes. and now they cannot because i say they make me.

so now i count on the 9:30 ish am email of ohmygod and the deadline of 3:30. and i get it done. and then, like in the movie groundhog day, it happens again the next day and everyone pretends like it is a fresh crisis. yawn.

except for the fact that i have to write a quarterly report and none of this daily drama is part of my deliverables so that is going to be one interesting piece of work.

crap, this is much more of a rant than an in my opinion. can i fix it so i can post this here by saying "in my opinion, the stupid daily crises are crap"?

xo,
deborah
