http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142412788732488050457829...It looks like they are suffering the same problem that A123 had with their batteries...High discharge/charge currents ruin the chemistry of the anodes.....at the microscopic level..and lead to catastrophic failure.A123 could never solve it's 'high discharge current' problem......you'd pull 'max current' out for 10 cycles and the battery would degrade by over 80% ........ it couldn't stand high discharge like what you would need if someone floored the accelerator and wanted zero to sixty in six seconds......with the lights, radio, heater and everything else running at the same time.....t.
