(((Bad news seems to be having a perversely good effect on US markets.
We're beginning to seriously factor in QE3 and further
dollar debasement. Here Noland discusses the "not dollars" trade
and wonders aloud what might happen if/when the dollar strengthens...
which could happen, yes?)))

banks had been taken over and cleaned out we'd already be in
recovery now; they'd be lending because they wouldn't be sitting
on mountains of bad loans while pretending to be solvent. My
credit card limit was slashed by half even though I didn't do
