So apparently today is my balloon day.As is the custom, I will share with you what I have learned at the fool. The one thing I have learned is that everybody has a story. The person ahead of you in line at the coffee shop who can't make up his mind. The mother with the screaming out of control child. The guy who just nabbed that parking space near the entrance that you wanted. They all have a story. Sometimes we see people at their best and sometimes we see them at their worst. Everybody has times when they are just about to crack, and everybody has done or said things that they regret.Maybe he just lost his job and can't focus, or maybe the kids missed his nap because he's cutting teeth, or maybe the guy is just a jerk. There are jerks out there after all. What we don't see, day-to-day out in the real world, is the totality of someone's life. We see bits and pieces and we often judge only those parts that rub up against us. Who is nice to us? Who is mean to us? Here on the fool, we sometimes get a different view. We see how life plays out for others, and are less concerned with how it affects us. We still don't see completely. It may not even be a better view. But it is a different view. Everybody has a story. That's what I have learned.Wally
