Click on Start>Settings>ControlPanel>Sounds.

Windows triggers wav (sound) files to play bassed of of certain events. Each event that has a sound assigned to it shows up with a little speaker icon next to it here in the Events list.

You can hear each sound by sellecting an event from the list ant then clicking on "preview".

Figure out which events are causing the "broken glass" and "kettle drum" sounds. You can also un-assign a sound from an event if you want.
