Because of all the rumors and hype the stock is breaking out into record territory. This is
where I believe the biggest gains are seen in regards to splits--i.e. preannouncement. Just an opinion and if others can clarify
anything I have said I would appreciate that as well. Hope this helps. <<

Based on what I've read on TMF boards and observed in my own investments I think you are right. Its the old buy on rumour sell on news phenomena. None of this matters much if you are holding for the long term however.
