Being new to investing, I'm not sure what happens in a buyout. If the value is listed as 37.75$, does the buying company buy our shares? Or do we get the equivelant amoung in VNU shares? Can someone please expand on takeovers for me? Thanks. Rick

Rick - you are going to get $37.75 per share of NMR that you own at the time that the deal closes. This is a all cash deal and you will not get equivalant shares of VNU - just a check from them.
