Long FRFHF / FFH for >5 years

Now that I have had time to think about it, please excuse my snobbery. I have a heavy bias as someone who was tasked for years for evaluating insurers/reinsurers for credit quality with a very high standard for creditworthiness. While I will probably never be convinced that Fairfax is a good underwriter, I freely acknowledge that what makes sense as an equity investor frequently does not dovetail with what would want to see in a company as a creditor to that name. Many's the equity investment I have made where I would never want to own the bonds (and vice versa).
