I think you have a good point. However, I still think there will be significant sell pressure because the bottom line is that many mutual funds will be FORCED to sell off their positions. The only stock support for the price is buying interest. Eventually though, I think this stock is headed down in the short term as I think the sell pressure will overwhelm the buying interest. Although OC was not a spinnoff, Greenblatt recommends those types of stock based on the same selling pressure rationale. Both Rambler and I managed to take positions in the high 25s based on the sell pressure. Since our buys, the stock has gone up nearly 20% (in roughly a few weeks). The bottom line is, I think IAR will see a good price sometime in the short term.
