Berkshire has warrants to purchase 43,478,260 shares of common stock of Goldman Sachs for $5 billion which is a strike price of $115/share. Goldman is trading around $148, so the shares are in the money by about $33/share, or $1,435 million. If the price is the same as it is today on October 1, my interpretation is that Berkshire would receive about 9.7 million shares of Goldman in settlement of the warrants.

Of course, the settlement will depend on the price of Goldman shares in the ten trading days prior to October 1 so we don't know what the actual settlement will be...
