Bernie, I'm not sure your advice is off-topic. This lady has already invested many years--in a marriage, and needs to protect a threatened investment. I'm a retired (female) priest, and basically agreed with your advice, to find a good, tough, lawyer. Let me just add a couple of things to the lady who wrote--many lawyers will give you a free first consultation. Go see a number of them and check them out--you can get a lot of good free advice that way. Then when you choose your dog--and your hubbie will not be able to choose the ones you have consulted due to conflict of interest--get a tough one, as Bernie says. However, I suggest you not get one who is so tough he intimidates *you*. Some lawyers do not respect women, even their own clients, and you don't need that. Good Hunting! And don't settle for less than you deserve, trying to be "nice"! KathleenE
