I designed and maintain a site for my brother's business. They take a lot of photos of customers with their catches, but I have noticed the site is loading slower and slower. Could it be because of the photos? (made the site in wordpress, hosted on godaddy)

What is the current best practice for sites with lots of photos? Would it be best to put up a flickr or Instagram page and just link to that? I read that hosting the photos where the site is hosted can improve your seo, but we are just going to have more and more and more and more photos every year... (I hope! :-)

I sincerely appreciate any suggestions or ideas.
