I was at a custard stand a few months ago and had a great veggie hot dog. Stupidly, I didn't think to ask what brand it was, so now I'm on the hunt.

I tried Tofu Pups. Hideous. Very mush mouth feel and weird chemical taste.

I just tried LiteLife's regular hot dogs (not the jumbos). It's better. Not mealy but the distinct chemical smell/taste lingered. I couldn't serve this to my mainstream parents.

Both of these were browner than the one I had at the restaurant, too. The restaurant's version was a nice pinkish color.

Anyone have any favorites? I rarely eat this kind of processed food, but sometimes I struggle for simple ideas when my parents come for dinner. And I'm in a summer mood, I guess.
