So I had three batches of BIAB by two weeks ago. They were, ok, and one is now kegged/bottled and the other is about to be. (Third is probably some dangerous scarred monster based on all the abuse it went through during brewing. It's quietly hidden in basement, where monsters you are ashamed of should be kept.)

It turns out, that I went into BIAB so gung ho I had way too many variables. LOL. Hell my equipment for that was brand new and never tested. Too many damn variables, but, then that's what I do, push to the extreme until it breaks, then figure out why. C'est la vie.

Past weekend I decided, to scale back. Planned a simple 3.5 gallons of American IPA. 2-row, munich dark, carapils. Warrior, cascade, chinook. Shooting for 5.5% and 68ibu. I did a small batch so that I could test the equipment, find out what the hell the heat is doing, how much water to mash with to account for losses and need to sparge etc. Simple beer so that no complicated steps.

All in in all, turned out to be one of my more relaxing brews. Because of who I am (see above) I also planned for some bottling to be done while brewing. The brew was so controlled this time I got the bottling done and almost felt a bit...bored (gasp) at one point. LOL.

Anyway, waiting to see if this batch also shows any richer flavor from my others based on it not being chaotic.
