"The oil industry may be in the midst of entering a new phase of high costs and slower growth. New oil discoveries are harder to come by, and the scramble to replace depleting production is costing more and more."

If the Big Oil companies aren't able to extract value from the holdings that they want to sell, makes one wonder who is going to purchase them and how are they going to get value out of them. It seems like almost all the companies that I follow have lowered their CapEx and are just almost in a holding pattern. And that is with oil hovering around the $100 dollar mark. Even the gas guys seem to be putting a little discipline in their plans, with no one really looking at expansion even with the spike of late.

On another note my JE reported that the cold is working in their favour. A little bit of a spike today on the news.
