I am fortunate enough to be able to spend three weeks next month touring Quebec by car. I want to do some whale watching, visit North America's only walled city (Quebec City), try some poutine, and also do some biking. I know that there are several road and mountain biking options, including the Route Verte or portions thereof. However, I'm leaning a bit more toward taking my mtn bike because I'm intrigued by Mont Sainte Anne - where last month's World Cup mtn biking event was held.

Has anyone biked in Quebec, and Mont Sainte Anne in particular? Am I wise to be taking my mtn bike instead of my road bike, or will I regret that decision?

Thanks for any and all input!
Renee
