It's just so painfully obvious.

This is a nice step for a fast-food restaurant to take in the quest to build a healthier menu.

For me, however, pricing will play a big role in my purchasing decision. A 4-pack of microwaveable patties retails for $3.69 at my local grocery store - less than a dollar apiece. To me, that means this product would be a great candidate for the value menu - an affordable alternative to the expensive chicken sandwiches that are pretty much the only healthy alternatives at fast food restaurants.

If the product is a success, McDonald's and Wendy's may end up teaming with Boca Burger (owned by Kraft) and Gardenburger (privately held).
