Bombardier should get a piece of this order, the economics for AC and UA are just too great for either of these airlines to look elsewhere for 50 and 70 seat aircraft. However for 90-100 seats the story is less clear, I know some people who attended the "elite flyers" bakeoff that the four manufacturers had in YUL a while back and the CRJ900 was considered the worst of the four choices (and as you point out there is no 100 seat option), I would be SHOCKED to see any CRJ900's in this order, I would also be shocked to see anything for Boeing (although they make a big deal of the Canadian content in the 717). The small planes in this buy will go to Bombardier, the big ones will either go 318 or Embraer.
