One indicator of if KLA is about to move up is the book to bill ratio of computer chips. It is about a 6 month leading indicator of when companies like Intel and other chip manufactures will buy new equipment.
For the last several months this ratio has been going up. I will look for the exact numbers and post them in the future.
Also Intel according to my friends who work that have been ramping up production on their new chips but in a cautious way.

One disturbing bit of news though. A lot of chip manufacturing has been going over seas in this last turn down. Many companies have shut down their fabs completely and decided to go fabless and just contract with the lowest bidder (usually over seas fabs) to build their chips.
This is disturbing because these jobs are high paying manufacturing jobs.
