In December 2005 I bought a few thousand shares of A.T. Cross(ATX) at $3.95 per share. The book value is $5.13, the stock at $6.31 is about fair value; I expect to own the stock for the next three to five years - unless it reaches my price objective of $15.80 - not necessarily likely.

Just curious where you see the value here? ATX's revenue and earnings haven't grown over the last three years (with negative earnings last fiscal year), margins are paper thin, and return on assets and equity are pretty low. This is only from a couple minutes of quick research, but I don't see anything here that makes me want to dig deeper. Am I missing something?

You are not missing much with ATX. When I bought it last year at $3.95 it was selling at a significant discount to the book value of $5.13. It now trades above book value per share. I do believe that the brand/company would make a good acquisition for a consumer products company selling other products to similar markets such as Coach(COH) or perhaps other companies. I see nothing on the horizon to trigger such an event, however.
