Both gun-related homicides and gun ownership have been in decline for decades. There you go, trying to post facts and real-world observations. Sorry but that's too simple by half. The 90's brought a dramatic increase in the number of police, and in the number of incarceration for violent crime (We're #1! We're #1!)This all came on the heels of a super violent decade in the 80's, when crack appeared and devastated entire communities. Pretending that gun violence is just somehow 'fading away' is the kind of shibboleth the NRA would like you to believe. And apparently you do.It's easy to lie with facts. There's a whole news channel that has built it's audience on doing it. Try not to fall for it quite so easily next time.
