Hi everyone,

News is out this morning that BP is close to a settlement with the government over criminal charges related to the Macondo well spill that also involves MUE holding Transocean. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/apnewsbreak-bp-gets-record-fin...

Note that at the end, it mentions the finding that BP is ultimately responsible, not Transocean, for the well and the disaster.

Not sure how this will affect Transocean's share price, but I view this as a positive development for removing some of the litigation uncertainty overhanging the company.

Cheers,
Jim
