I thinking of putting some percentages into 1,2,4,5 in addition to the Vanguard INdex and I have yet to research 6,7, and 8. Unless you feel they are a good option I most likely will not include those in my choices? I would rather be agressive at this point in time. Thank you for your opinion. jeffy3 replies: I love index funds and the Vanguard S&P500 (VFINX) is the King of all index funds. I recommend you drop over to the index funds message board for more in depth reading about index funds. Quite frankly, I would not invest in any of those other funds with VFINX available. You are hard pressed to get much more diversified than VFINX already is. If you feel you just must own more funds consider Vanguard's total stock market index fund (VTSMX)and Vanguard's Growth index (VIGRX).
