brucevich asks,

I am ln the midst of a pension tax exempt rollover.
I have contacted several brokers, online & storefront types.
My pension fund will not send my check to a P.O.Box for obvious reasons. It must be a physical adress, so that it could be sent by registered or certified mail to make sure it gets to where it is supposed to go.Schwab and Etrade offered P.O.Boxes.
I ended up choosing a Local Edward Jones office to start me off.
The trouble with Edward Jones is that they have their prefered mutual funds:American, Lord Abbott....which I am not to keen on. I have the feeling I will have an electonic transfer from E. Jones to a more compliant broker.
I would like to hear from fellow fools in fooldom to hear some feedback into this situation. Thanks, Brucevich

The check only has to be made out to Schwab, Vanguard, or whatever IRA custodian you chose to effect a direct rollover. There is no requirement that your pension fund mail the check directly to Schwab.

Have your pension fund mail the Schwab check to you at your home address. Then you can forward it yourself to Schwab's post office box.
