bstroh: You're kidding, right? I'm only 12 years out of high school, and I remember exactly how things were with a substitute teacher. Subs couldn't reign us in, no matter what they tried. And I was even a good student.I have had absolutely no problems with the students I have subbed for. Recently 7th and 8th graders, supposedly the worst to deal with. They try hard to be disruptive. You have to rope them in within a few minutes or you are dead meat.Perhaps it helps that I actually teach, rather than babysit, and they are responsible for the material. I am the most popular sub now at that school, both with the majority of the students, who actually like and respect given boundries, and the staff.Inparadise
