BTW, many of these respected international statesman, like Arafat -- a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, remember -- are not only anti-American but anti-freedom, anti-free press, and anti-economic liberty. They're more than happy to receive $$$$$ from the USA to support their corrupt regimes. There commitment to the freedoms you love start and stop with the barrel of a gun.So who is more culpable? The briber or the bribee? It's reallyrich to heap derision on Araat while not mentioning the fact thatthe Beacon of Freedom props up dictatorships in Egypt, Jordan,Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen, etc. They propped up the Shah ofIran until the people finally overthrew him, and then those libertyloving Americans propped up good old Sadam Hussein while he was gassing the Iranians as well as his own people. Arafat corrupt and anti-freedom? Maybe. Having your people livethirty-five years under a brutal military occupation doesn't producea nice disposition. But he's a piker compared to the U.S. government.
