Buicks as of late have received universal high praise for being extremely quiet.

I can't comment on the Buick Encore, which is in a class of its own B-segment CUV. I did sit in one and crawl around it and was very impressed with fit, finish, looks, etc.

Lexus is of course quiet, as are the other luxury brands. I pointed to Buick because you said reduce costs.

Economical, quiet, reliable, sub-luxury - well Buick is about the only thing that comes to mind. The Acura small CUV (RDX is the smaller one if I remember my Acura alphabet soup right) is also very nice - can't comment on "quiet."
