That's true. I suppose that your bank could help you out there. In reading the PART 360--REGULATIONS GOVERNING UNITED STATES SAVINGS BONDS, SERIES I, it seems to me that registering I Bonds in a trust is indeed possible.

And you folks using a credit card online, where do you get a card
with a $30,000 limit?

I've spread my purchases out over the year using a single credit card that rewards me with a 1% monthly cash back rebate on all purchases.

Please be advised that a new rate may be offered on November 1st. It is not yet known whether the Treasury will keep the 3.0% fixed rate intact. Even if you purchase your allotment of I Bonds on Monday at your bank, you may not be assured of getting the bonds issued before November 1st. You could very well end up with the new rate, whatever that might be.
