But to charge those who actually provide content that probably attracts many to visit Motley, would seem to be a mistake. Much of what these discussion boards provide is beneficial to Motley Fool and posters don't charge for their services. Maybe those who actually post (criteria set by MF) should be provided free access and lurkers, and those using the other services, would be the ones to pick up the tab.The problem I see with the MF plan is that, while the boards may be worth paying for today, how many people will be left after the fee is imposed? After we've paid our fee, will we still find the boards to have the same level of participation, or will we find we've subscribed to a dying board?
