But what do y'all think? Are you seeing a trend in shaming people for losing too much weight, much the way we have shamed women for decades for gaining weight?



I don't think anyone is "skinny-shaming" her so much as they are legitimately concerned for a) her health and b) the example this is setting. The premise of the show is okay as far as helping people learn how to lose weight and isolating them in an environment to help them do so.

Treating it as a strategic game in where a young woman loses so much weight so quickly and appears unhealthy crosses a line for me, which is why I don't watch it. I am all in favor of losing weight in a healthy fashion but she does not appear healthy in those pictures and the concern is that she may have strayed from overeating to anorexia.

At least, it is in the comments I have seen.
