But why not get a kitten at the same time? That way they can bond and be best buds, and you won't have to deal with integration issues.I'd love to, but I'm not sure how well that would go with my wife. She didn't grow up around animals and really didn't care for them until she had a really good experience a dog while at a friends. This was a few years ago. She still doesn't like cats that much. I figure we'll have to see how the dog goes, before we start broaching the cat topic. I'd be happy with a cat and dog, but I'll settle for a dog and a happy wife. :-)Marc
