It is an undisputed facts that when a person has a child, all of his brains dribble out of his ears, and he ends up writing things like this. -

It happens every morning
While the dew is in the air
There is toast upon his table
and butter in his hair

I've studied all life's mysteries,
And some I understand:
Light and space and heat and time
(I'm an educated man.)

But still he often fools me
While perched in his high chair
With a smile on his chubby face
And butter in his hair

I never see it happen
There is none when we begin
But by the time breakfast is over,
It's in his hair again

I am sure that I could see it,
If I'd only watch with care.
But I turn away to get his milk,
and there's butter in his hair

I understand it 'round his mouth
And the toast crumbs on his shirt.
But up above his eyebrows
Must take a little work

It's the magic of a child,
And what makes life so fair
To see someone so happy
With butter in his hair.
