I'm moving back to the states this summer and am thinking about buying a house.

I seek advice on what would be my best course of action.

I'm in the military and ideally I will live in the house for at least three years, after I transfer I would like to rent the house.

What would be the best way to finance?
What kind of downpayment should I put down?
Would a combo loan be advisable?
How do you figure the payment on a 5/1 type loan?
Is there a book or a website I should look at to get this type of info?

I have about 6 months to figure what I want to do and how to go about it.

Thanks,

T
