By privatization, I'm guessing that you feel that SS should be a pre-funded program. That's fine, but how do you switch from pay as you go to pre-funded? That means that somewhere, someone has to double pay. The baby boomers had the benefit of supporting a smaller group of retirees during their working years, while younger workers face the impending retirement of baby boomers with a much lower worker to retiree ratio. It would be most fair if the boomers assumed most of the burden through reduced SS benefits.
