Cabbies were split 50-50

Wow! This really surprises me as my experience is that 90% of cabbies will cross three lanes of traffic -- not caring what road regs they disobey -- if they think they see a fare on the opposite curb.

Same with bus drivers

This too surprises me as when I'm on a bus (fairly often), most bus drivers seem to be very observant of the rules of the road.

Interesting that we both live in Manhattan and seem to have totally different experiences as relates to taxi drivers and bus drivers!!
