Can I tell you how absolutely helpful you've been?

Here's the update on the research I've been doing:

*Merryl Lynch says there is *no* surrender fee for a partial cash-out of this annuity.

*I only worked half the year in 2000 (took a much-needed extended vacation), so my tax rate was unusually low (15%, I think).

*My tax rate for 2001 will be much higher.

So based on this new information, I think if I'm going to withdraw money from my annuity, this is the year to do it. However, I am also considering transferring the entire annuity to Vanguard.

Any thoughts on this?
