"There is a 15% witholding tax for non-residents on all of the O&G Trusts. Outside of tax-deferred plans that tax can be netted off against US Taxes. Inside of them, the 15% is lost. ( That's my understanding and should probably be checked with a US tax specialist ) "

Has this been covered on this board? I want to buy PVX, listed on the NYSE, a Canadian O&G royalty trust. Anyone here familiar with the above paragraph about witholding for US citizens?
