You can not put a dollar amount on a persons life or health, yet we do and that is the problem in itself.

I beg to differ. If medical practitioners could not charge a dollar amount for their time and services, they could not afford to be doctors and nurses. If drug companies could not put a dollar amount on their products, they would be out of business.

To make health services even just superficially free to patients requires completely socialized medicine... ie transferring the cost to third parties through the tax code.

Yet if we have to pay for universal health care and the government bureaucracy to administer it, it will either take longer to reach retirement or we'll have to settle for retiring with less.
