I really appreciate the help from comments on this board between fello Fools, and also to questions I have put out there.I have one more I need to clarify. My mom gave me a gift of some Microsoft shares when they were at $58 per share. My mom's cost basis in the shares are something like .80 cents. If I sell the shares now at their current price of $49 per share, do I claim a capital loss of $9.00 per share, or a gain of $48.20 per share? Thanks
