Greetings All,

I have approximately $300,000 in long term capital gains losses from the year 2000 that went unused. I have no long-term capital gains from this year, but I do have about $50,000 in short-term gains. Can I use the long-term gains that I had to carry forward to offset some of the short-term capital gains. All of the above are from stocks and bonds.
