Some other thoughts about this mobile purchase--I agree wholeheartedly with the Fool who talked about the psychological implications of having no mortgage payments--it truly will be a wonderful feeling. I am 54, and have enough (hopefully) to live on until SS kicks in. I would hate having to make mortgage payments now.

I've also heard that mobiles have stopped depreciating right now, at least in this community (greater Denver), and there is a good chance that with the Baby Boomer generation retiring, a senior park looks more and more like an attractive choice--low maintenance, low fees, still a yard for flowers, pets, etc. Anyone have any thoughts about this?(e.g., possible appreciation over the next few years?)
