caveman, Just a minor correction,late buyers into ocli are not guaranteed jdsu shares If you hold OCLI shares, even if bought at 3:59 on the effective date, your shares will be converted to JDSU. Once the merger is effected, each share of OCLI stock will become 1.852 (if memory serves correctly) shares of JDSU. If there are delays in the merger until after March, when JDSU is splitting again, the ratio will increase. And, yes, you are correct in stating that OCLI is in lockstep with JDSU because of the merger. The slight difference is due to the risk that the merger might not be comsumated.Don
