my first post so bear with me.

I've read the posts regarding decision on 75% payoffs vs. full payoff vs. credit counseling...

I ended up using Consumer Credit Counseling (CCCS) and quit when I was $2,000 shy of payoff and paid the remainder myself. Now out of debt for 6 months (woo hoo!) I have no marks from CCCS on my credit report. Am I lucky or is this how it works?
