Cemex is going to issue $1 billion in new equity in the next 10 months and for some reason the stock is up 2% while the market plunges 2%. It is all so clear to me!

With a market cap around $8.8B, this represents about 11% dilution of current shareholders.



I read this to mean that the "market" was more worried about the survivability of CMX than anything else. Dilution is not bad if it means you live to fight another day.
