Good afternoon

ECI Telecom Ltd. announced today, that David Rubner, President and CEO of the company, has notified the Board of Directors of his intention to retire from his position in the company, by March 5, 2000. Upon Mr. Rubner's recommendation, the Board has appointed Doron Inbar as President, effective immediately and will name him CEO upon Mr. Rubner's retirement. Mr. Inbar will continue to fill the position of CFO, until such time as a successor will be appointed. The Board of Directors has also approved Mr. Rubner's recommendation to appoint Dr. Tal Simchony Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Both Mr. Inbar and Dr. Simchony will join the Board of Directors of the Company.

Upon retirement, Mr. Rubner will assume the position of Vice Chairman of the Board and will continue to contribute both to the Board and the new Management of the Company.
