In replying to another post, it occurred to me that I'd love some child-raising advice from those of you who have "been there, done that" and think that your kids turned out pretty darned well. And yes, I think this is related to LBYM and teaching your children to LBTM.

One of the things I want to teach my children is that the choices they make in their lives will have lasting consequences. Right now my children are small and seem to think maybe 5 minutes out into the future, but as they grow and make choices in middle school and then high school, their choices will color the rest of their lives. Some holes are difficult to dig back out of!

Where teaching children to LBTM is concerned, can any of you Foolish folks out there share some tactics that worked well for you? I know that setting a good example is probably #1, so I'm looking for additional teaching tools beyond that...

Thanks in advance for any tips!
